With electric vehicles (EVs) expected to be nearly 20% of new commercial vehicles sales globally by 2030, commercial fleets are embracing the reality of operating fleets of mixed combustion and electric vehicles – and WEX is on a journey to help them best manage this complexity with the right set of payment, reporting, and software tools. Join a team of passionate fleet industry leaders in building the next phases of WEX’s Global Fleet product evolution and help drive the electrification of transportation. You will lead one or more of our Electric Vehicle products, and partnerships, with a specific focus on delivering EV solutions that ensure the retention of customers as they transition their fleets to EV.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that requirements are developed according to agreed upon departmental and company standards within timelines, budget and quality.  Includes development of release notes.
  • Create a Vision & Scope to document current state including process flows – an important artifact needed to assess and outline changes for future state.
  • Create an environment where solving EV charging complexity and delivering the best Fleet charging toolkit is paramount, including rapid experimentation to validate the riskiest assumptions
  • Lead key Product solution decisions based on market timing and regional market differences, including understand when to leverage existing in-house technology components versus build, buy, partner
  • Regularly interact with EV charging ecosystem partners and networks to define requirements and priorities to support a successful charging network and experience for WEX customers
  • Advocate for assets in the marketplace that can accelerate and/or compliment the WEX offer, including integrations with critical industry partners that optimize solution functionality, user needs, business goals, and technological realities across web & mobile platforms
  • Leverage strong commercial acumen to prioritize top market opportunities, contribute to pricing decisions and partner on go-to-market strategies
  • Leverage data to measure progress, quantify outcomes, measure customer benefit, and drive decision making, helping to ensure we can holistically tell the story of the value created and provide transparency to projects that need help or acceleration

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years of product management experience, delivering great customer experiences that deliver business value
  • Passion about electrification and helping fleets and customers adopt new technologies
  • Familiarity with EV charging ecosystem and industry standards like OCPP and OCPI, experience integrating IoT or payment solutions within this ecosystem and with these standards a plus
  • Experience in the EV charging or automotive industry, experience serving as a subject matter expert internally and externally around ecosystem protocols a plus
  • Understanding of ISO 15118 vehicle charging protocol a plus, experience in API product management a plus
  • Deep custom r centricity, with a passion for understanding customer problems and rapidly experimenting to solve them
  • Strong leadership, with a style that is collaborative, upbeat, inspirational and performance driven
  • Comfort and passion for working fast and rapidly iterating, often in ambiguous environment
  • Strong technical acumen to define, build and enforce industry standards
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with an extensive use of both quantitative and qualitative data, to drive prioritization and performance
  • Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive business results
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with business model innovation, ensuring we are building products that will deliver commercial value
  • Ability to influence to stakeholders across the product development, design, marketing and commercial teams, among others
  • Confidence and experience to regularly interact with executives and/or major customers

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Salary Pay Range: $77,500.00 - $103,000.00
